Ingredients
- 1/4 pound melted butter
- 4 to 5 cups tree-ripened
peaches - 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 1 pinch cinnamon
- 1 pinch nutmeg
- 1 cup flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup milk
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Butter and flour a 9 by 13-inch glass casserole dish.
- Pour melted butter into the dish. In a
saucepan , slowly cook the peaches with 1/2 cup sugar until soft.
- Add cinnamon and nutmeg to taste.
- Combine flour with remaining sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- Whisk in milk and pour mixture into pan over butter.
- Gently pour cooked peaches evenly over batter.
- Cook for 45 minutes or until golden brown.
